Pop Art - Roy Lichtenstein comic recreation

Pop Art movement happened in the USA around 1950s-1960s. As one of the most important contemporary art movement, the comic style, bold lines, dotted paintings are dominating the aesthetic even to this day. Students are asked to analyze Roy Lichtenstein’s Comic stripes and recreating his paintings using oil pastels. Each drawing has one of his composition but an original story.
